Aluminium Sheet, Plates, Bars, Tubes & Angles – Cut To Size

Here at 1st Choice Metals, we’re the first place to go to when buying quality metals. We stock a large range of aluminium products which we cut to size for the user.

The items that we sell are split into two manufacturing types; rolled products and extruded products.

Rolled Products.

These are the Aluminium sheet & Plates. We stock Aluminium Plain sheet in a variety of thicknesses; 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 6mm.

The thinner sheets, 1mm up to and including 4mm thick are stocked in grade 1050H14, whilst the 5mm & 6mm thick sheets are supplied in grade 6082T6.

Aluminium Plate is stocked in the following thicknesses – 10mm, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″, 1.1/4″, 1.1/2″, 2″ & 2.1/2″ and this is all supplied in grade 6082T6.

We also have Aluminium Chequer Plate in 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4.5mm & 6mm thick. These are all supplied in grade 5754.

Each thickness of Sheet and plate is available to buy in many useful sizes such as 250mm x 250mm, 500mm x 500mm, 1000mm x 1000mm-

you can then take advantage of our handy cutting tool to request that we cut the piece down to the exact dimensions that you require.

Extruded Products.

This covers the remainder of the Aluminium products that we sell – otherwise known as Aluminium sections.

One of the main advantages of extruded products, especially when it comes to tubular / hollow Aluminium sections, is that they are truly seamless, and therefore no weld marks are visible inside or out.

The extruded aluminium products that we stock are as follows;

• Aluminium Round Bar 3/16″ diameter up to 8″ dia (Up to 16″ dia is available upon request, please contact us for a quotation)
• Aluminium Flat Bar 3/8″ x 3/16″ up to 6″ x 2.1/2″ – and dozens of sizes in-between!
• Aluminium Square Bar 3/8″ square up to 5″ square
• Aluminium Square Tube 1/2″ x 1/2″ up to 4″ x 4″
• Aluminium Rectangular Tube 1″ x 1/2″ up to 4″ x 2″
• Aluminium Round Tube 5/16″ outside diameter up to 6.1/2″
• Aluminium Channel 3/8″ x 3/8″ up to 4″ x 2″
• Aluminium Equal Angle 1/2″ x 1/2″ up to 4″ x 4″
• Aluminium Unequal Angle 3/4″ x 1/2″ up to 4″ x 3″

Each of the extrusions that we list can be purchased in up to 30 different lengths. You can then use our handy free cutting tool to request that we cut your item down to an exact size prior to despatch.

Unless otherwise stated, all of the Aluminium offered on this website is in ‘mill finish’ which means that the items have not been polished, treated, painted, anodised or finished in any way. Should you require any of the above services then please contact us for a quotation.

As a local supplier, the Aluminium sections listed on this site are common sizes that are constantly kept in stock, ready for same day / next day dispatch.

Whilst this range is relatively comprehensive it is not infinite, and doesn’t cover all sizes that we may have on the shelf at any given time.

Also, via our network of trusted suppliers we can obtain many other sizes that are not currently on the shelf within 24 – 48 hours.

Therefore should you have a requirement for an item that is not currently shown, then please contact us for a competitive quote.

Folding Service.

We are now able to offer a folding service on our aluminium and stainless steel sheet products.

We can fold up to 4mm thick in plain aluminium sheet and 6mm thick in aluminium chequer plate. Up to 3mm thick in stainless steel.

Our equipment allows us to offer sheet folded into angles, channels, zed sections, top hats or trays.

The trays / lids can be supplied just folded or with the corners welded.

Uses for folded sheet can include wheelchair or pushchair access ramps to enable entry into shops and other buildings, corner guards for internal and external corners and drip trays to contain fluids and other materials.

Architectural uses include profiles such as cappings, trunking, conduit, flashings and gutters.
Worktops, splashbacks and threshold covers can also be made.

In the automotive industry folded aluminium sheet can be used to manufacture sump guards, toolboxes and enclosures.
