The Grade 316 Stainless Tubes are supplied unpolished in “Mill Finish” i.e as they have come to us from the mill. Although unpolished, this is usually still relatively pleasing to the eye and is probably best described as a semi bright finish, although this can vary from batch to batch.
Grade 316 Stainless Steel Tubes have a fantastic resistance to corrosion and are often used in environments where harsh chemicals are present. 316 Stainless is also often referred to as the Marine Grade of Stainless Steel, as it has the ability to withstand saltwater – this being one of its main advantages over its more common and cheaper counterpart, grade 304.
Seamless Stainless Steel Tube in grade 316 is also commonly used as hydraulic tubing, as exhaust tubing and also for medical applications.
